In
2002 the Santiago Piñol photography competition was
begun in hommage to Mr. Piñol, a member of AFOCER since
1973 and a resident in the Pont Vell neighborhood.
Santiago, a well know figure as much here in Cerdanyola as
in Ripollet, for a long time had immortalized some of the
greatest moments in our towns with his photography, especially
his work during local festivals.
In his honor, AFOCER together with the Pont Vell Neighborhood
association, organizes the the Santiago Piñol Photography
Competition each year, whose most representative works are
included in our two publications.
